On Tuesday members enjoyed an excellent presentation from professional Wildlife Photographer Paul McDougall.
Paul is local in South Lanarkshire and his own company leads many wildlife photography workshops at home and abroad.
Paul described his love of wildlife and the outdoors which eventually led to his passion for photography.
Members were treated to a marvelous series of photographs from numerous places and in particular Kenya, Finland and Canada.
The photographs consisted of a large variety of wild animals both large and small with many showing their habitat and some showing family groups.
In the latter part of his presentation he discussed equipment, the need to practice and become familiar with all aspects of your equipment, and gave many
tips on how to approach the subject, to gain experience and improve individual skills to take better pictures.
Next Tuesday we welcome Gordon Scott from Mid Calder Camera Club who will judge the entries in the 2nd Interim PDI Competition.
